Internet Opportunities with Andrew Imrie

The Institute kicked-off it's 2017 Programme with a return visit from Andrew Imrie DipWSET of KWM Wines of Kilkeel.

Andrew talked us through his own journey into wine and the slow and gradual development of the online side of his business, which now exports wines all across the world and represents an ever growing proportion of his total sales.

This was of course accompanied by a varied selection of wines, hand-picked from his available stock, beginning with the Akarau Brut, a non-vintage sparkling wine from Central Otago, New Zealand and continued with wines from all across the globe, including a Savatiano from Attica in Greece, an Aglianico from Puglia, Pinot Noir from Chile, the wonderful Amon-Ra Shiraz from the Barossa Valley in South Australia and finishing off (as all good nights do) with some lovely Port. Such a varied selection is rare but thankfully all available on our own doorstep!
