Christmas Extravaganza @ DWS
Our final tasting event of the year was our Christmas Extravaganza, taking place at Direct Wine Shipments and this year our President Robin Kinahan MW had offered to host a wine quiz for members and guests. Ably assisted by his brother Tim acting as scorer, Robin put the four teams through their paces with some tricky and possibly misleading wines with teams tasked to guess country of origin, grape variety, region and producer. After much debate, deliberation and downright guesswork, I think we all agreed it was much more difficult than it looked!
Following the presentations to the winners, we settled down to a few glasses of wine, our usual supper and a mine pair of two.
