AGM of the NIWSI 2016
Our AGM again took place at La Mon Hotel & Country Club with 20 members in attendance, including one who joined on the night! A 7:45pm start meant we weren't too far behind after our welcome drink and 22 apologies were received. The 2015 minutes were passed and following the Chairman's report, the Treasurer presented another healthy set of accounts and a proposal was passed that Study Tour reconciliations would be presented separately in future as they represent such a large proportion of income and costs in the given year.
The two nominations for the year, President and Vice-President were passed and Alastair Bell presented details for the 2017 Programme of Events which included four Masters of Wines, a distillery visit and the Study Tour to the Loire.
The meeting was wrapped up with a toast to the Institute and we enjoyed some fine foods with wines from Institute stocks.
