Joining the Northern Ireland Wine & Spirit Institute
NIWSI welcomes new members. We have a varied membership, all united by an interest in wine and a desire to develop that interest in the company of others.
Categories of Membership by application are as follows:

Full Members
Open to persons who have been awarded a Wine & Spirit Education Trust ® qualification in wines or spirits; or a qualification deemed by the committee to be equivalent; or who are Masters of Wine. -
Associate Members
Open to persons not qualified for full membership but who demonstrate an interest in the appreciation of Wine & Spirits. -
Corporate Members
Open to organisations. They will be entitled to send one representative for each subscription paid.
Subscription
An annual fee is payable by all Full, Associate and Corporate Members. Fees are payable per calendar year, not later than the last day of January in the relevant year.
The current subscription fee for new members is £75 and this includes a set of tasting glasses. For subsequent years the fee is currently £60.
Those wishing to join part-way through the subscription year will be afforded a reduced fee to be determined by the Treasurer.
Applications for Membership
You can download an application form here or you may simply email the Secretary who will advise you of the fee applicable. If you are applying for Full membership, you may be requested to supply a copy of your qualification certificates.
If you are interested in undertaking a Wine & Spirit Education Trust ® Qualification in wine and spirits, these are run from time to time through the Institute at preferential rates.
